Mel Brooks' Spaceballs... a cheesy 1987 spoof that's still a great movie to watch when you're home sick from work.
Above costume sketch of Princess Vespa, our heroine, in the dress she wears through the whole movie. However, most of the time we see it seductively shredded:
A pic of the actual dress worn in filming. So. Much. Lace.
Costumes by Donfeld.... yes that's correct, he's a one named Wonder-Designer who worked mostly in the 60s and 70s. I don't know how you achieve the status of having only one name, but apparently this guy did it and fast.
Here's a great sketch of a Black Guard, a minion of Dark Helmet. (btw where has Rick Moranis gone?)
Barf and Lone Starr taking over the Black Guard's uniforms, with the Princess in that Seductively Shredded wedding dress again.
And the hero, Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, wears a button up and pant ensemble, also through mostly the whole movie. (Shown here without the classic late 80s/ Seinfeld leather jacket.)
And Barf.
