Colleen Atwood has still not officially been announced as the costume designer.... and while my earlier suspicions were that it was her... I'm just not convinced this is 'HER'. It really doesn't look like her kind of thing. But who knows. Maybe it's new and crazy and different.

TV's best Costume Designers

There is a great article in the Times yesterday about the costumes from 'Mad Men' and it's costume designer, Katherine Jane Bryant. It's a sweet little article but even better is the Multimedia feature titled "Clothes Make the Show" on the left side featuring the work of tv's most vibrant costume designers:
Katherine Jane Bryant for Mad Men, Eric Daman for Gossip Girl, Jo Katsaras for The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, and Robert Blackman for the died & brought back to life Pushing Daisies.

There's little voice snippits from each designer about their work on their respective shows. Listen to Jo talk about the fake 'bottom' for Jill Scott! Oh a costume designers work is more than skin deep!

I'm doing a lot of Vegas Showgirl research these days. I wonder if she's looking at the same guy as who's in the picture. Probably not ;)

Heartbroken

My faithful readers(whoneverlevercomments*ahem*what?) I have failed thee!

I just found out this morning that the Romeo and Juliet Costumes- the best film for witnessing Shakespeare in Action- were on display at the Time Warner Center until yesterday and I missed it!

Don't look at me like that! I'm only human! I didn't know about it until just now! What can I do?

*gasp* Oh you are a bunch of heartless beasts, aren't you! How about I just put up some pretty pictures instead??

*zzzzzz*
So you're just not even going to pay attention to me? Is that it? I'm sorry alright!

I will be upset about this for quite some time. All I have is some cruddy pictures from some cruddy article. I would have taken a zillion beautiful pictures for myself and all costume lovers out there. *sigh* Another Tragedy.
