Happy Birthday to me! (Yes it's today!)
I discovered this song a week ago and it's my new anthem- I love it. It's lights a fire under my butt. If Dolly can have those thighs- then there's nothing I can't have! (except maybe those thighs;)

Sunday * Sketches
I drew the kids at my brother's recital when I went home a couple of weeks ago. Usually I draw with a pen but lately I've been trying out pencil. Sounds weird I know- but in the past few years I've been preferring the control feeling of a pen. Pencil has kind of a throwaway- feeling to it that tends to lose something for me. But I think it's good to try new techniques- each one of these portraits is a different feeling.
Monday * Inspiration
Belated Monday posting (I'm trying to do everyday. I picked this book up over the weekend from a "Free" box on the sidewalk. Great illustration. Cover Design is accredited to Tom Ballenger. I'm not sure if this is means the illustrator but I love the image, the colors, everything. I have no idea what the book is about.
